A native of Winston-Salem N.C., son of the late James L. McCray Sr. & Johnnie Amanda McCray. Rev. James L. McCray Jr. is married to Tonya McConnell McCray with two beloved children daughter, Camesa M. Turner (married to Bryant Turner) and son, James L. McCray III along with two beautiful grandchildren Maclin C. Turner and Maxwell W. Turner.
He devoted 14 years of honorable service to the United States Marine Corps, served as personal security for the President of the United States (The Honorable William Jefferson Clinton); highly decorated with several prestigious awards and honors. Currently, an upstanding staff member of the Department of Justice.
The esteemed Pastor of Little Zion Baptist Church of Nokesville VA., since June of 2002.
Serves as the Moderator for the Northern Virginia Baptist Association Inc..
Former Moderator of the Tidewater Ministers, Deacons, & Christian Union.
Highly decorated Summa cum laude graduate with the highest distinction at Strayer University. Master’s Degree in Information Assurance. Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Computer Information Systems, Minor in Homeland Security.
